We (two grown-ups, two children aged 10 and 15) stayed in La Marcilande for two weeks and had a perfect holiday. The location is both beautiful and practical with lots of marvellous medieval villages, castles and caves within a short distance. The house is very well equiped and really nice to stay in. On warm days the terrace and the pool were our favorite place to be. Best of all we felt really welcomed by both the owners and the property managers who were always willing to help out with questions or minor problems. That made our holiday very relaxing and safe. We experienced a lot of what the region has to offer (canoing on the river, hot air ballooning, castles, caves, markets, villages and restaurants), but there is so much to do and see, that we would love to come back - both to Moon River and La Marcilande and also to Perigord.

We had a perfect stay in La Marcillande. Family of 6 (21, 18, 14 & 14), we felt at ease in this very comfortable and pleasant home. The garden seems endless with many trees and the pool is perfect. The river is just across a very small road, St Cyprien is within a 15 mns walk, groceries are very easy to find, the camping place nearby is extremely quiet. Any questions are dealt with immediately, thanks to the very nice couple taking care of the place and the booking was made very easy. Moon River is the best place in Dordogne we stayed in and we definitely recommend it!

Both the riverfront setting and the enormous garden with the large pool were wonderful. The house was clean and comfortable, and Peter was always available to help with any questions. The location is also perfect; all sorts of Dordogne highlights are nearby. The large house (sleeps 10) is even more beautiful; we hope to return with a larger group!
